Comments about 3-1/2 in. Round Head Framing Nailer:

When the unit arrived, I excitedly opened the box. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed with the nail gun that was shipped to me. It looked used...VERY used. As in having been used to build an entire house! There was nothing "refurbished" about it, and when I went to test it, it didn't even work! The good news was that CPO was very helpful, an took the item back with no problem. They offered to send me another one, but given the quality (or lack thereof) of the first one, I passed.

Comments about 3-1/2 in. Round Head Framing Nailer:

I opened the box and saw what looked like a VERY used nail gun...like one that had been used to build an entire house! Beaten, battered, nicked, discolored. You name it...this gun showed the "battle scars" of having been used roughly. To make things worse, I couldn't get it to work! It's one thing to refurbish a new (or new-ish) product that has an "issue," but it's quite another to take a used product and pass it off as "refurbished." VERY disappointed in the gun, and returned it due to it not functioning properly.

Comments about 3-1/2 in. Round Head Framing Nailer:

The nailer was a reconditioned product that only worked for about 30 minutes. After checking to make sure the pressure was correct discovered it was the nailer. Called customer service and they treated me really well. Surprised that they would send out a new one the next day and it arrived without delay in three days. I will buy all my tools here. Great price and customer service better than most. It not about the money its about the customer. Thanks and great job.

Comments about 3-1/2 in. Round Head Framing Nailer:

Plastic bits from nails fly everywhere and get stuck under nail heads keeping them from seating. Nail clips are huge and the magazine can only hold about 2/3 what a wire collated one holds.

          • Q:

How does this perform with a smallish compressor, say 135 psi, 3.5 gal? Is there a delay in recovery for the next nail and how much? Anyone know? thanks.

              A:

Having a larger compressor will of course decrease the time spent reaching the psi desired. But, at 135psi there should not be an issue with firing frequency for as long as the smaller tank can provide the desired psi

            • A:

You need 90 to 120 psi depending on hardness of wood and the distance of the hose(s). 3.5 gallon is a smaller tank (larger tanks hold reserve air, this allows the user to use the nailer longer between compressor cycling times. In other words more air at a longer duration), you need to look at the cfm rating. CFM (cubic feet per minute) is the indication of how long the pump will run to satisfy the tank and usable pressure. 3.5 is good if you are not going to use it continuously ie sanding, air tools etc. I have a small rigid compressor that I use only for framing and finish work. It works great and will be noisy and cycle a lot more than a larger tank, I just run a longer hose so that I am not in ear shot of the compressor itself.
